How many mortgage deals are available in the UK?

The number of mortgage products available on the UK market was above 25,000 in February. According to Twenty7tec, there were 25,090 deals on the market, the highest number ever.


To put that into perspective, there are roughly the same number of items stocked in a typical supermarket. Much like items in a supermarket, the variety of mortgages doesn’t just come from different companies, but from the wide range of products that each company offers. Unlike supermarkets though, where you usually walk in knowing exactly which product you want to buy, there is far more complexity in finding the right mortgage.
